I've never been able to figure it out, except Trump is exceptionally good at one thing...cheating. I've often thought, that aside from the obvious, this whole "Stop the steal" bullshit was basically slight of hand to get people to look over THERE instead of over HERE. Like at the voting machines that gave McConnell, Graham, and Collins almost the exact same margin of victory, after all of them were being defeated soundly in the polls. McConnell managed to claw his way to a 35% approval rating the day before the election, and somehow won by 20 points, AND won a Democratic precinct that no Rethug had won in like 80 years by some ridiculous margin. Graham had been on Fox a couple of days before the election whining and begging for money. Collins was, of course, concerned.

They cheated, of course. They just didn't cheat enough because I think they underestimated the anger of the American people and the turnout.
