(4,575 posts)procedures then pretty soon it's going to be okay to do it to all women not just certain women. That is where all of this is headed. Now that you bring up HIPAA though this should be treated as a crime. It should be illegal to reveal what healthcare procedures women and men have had and if they are utilizing birth control even. How would you like it if a former friend of yours decided to be vindictive and reveal that you were say, HIV positive or had Hepatitis C to your friends and employer? What if they chose to reveal that you have previously sought mental health treatment or substance abuse treatment? Are those things really anybody's business to judge you by because one day they decide they're mad at you or they don't like you anymore?
This is part of the reason we have trouble winning. We get caught up in some sort of salacious diversion and can't see the forest through the trees anymore. Once we bite on this poison apple, we've lost the plot.
