In reply to the discussion: Adam Schiff Just Said - "At This Time We See No Sign That DOJ Is Investigating The Former President" [View all]OneGrassRoot
(23,924 posts)which I think is the main point, but we all have opinions and can speculate nonstop here, there and everywhere...lol.
My curiosity (and daydream, I guess) has to do with the possibility that it IS choreographed. Adam Schiff doesn't strike me as the type to do that but we ARE dealing with unprecedented criminality and the attack of our very democracy, so he may have added tactics to his toolkit, just as other members of the committee may be doing.
Let the criminals think DOJ isn't doing anything by saying such things, which are quite nebulous and not definitive (he didn't say, "I know for a fact DOJ isn't investigating Trump and never will"
, knowing the assholes will probably keep incriminating themselves. Then with each committee hearing they drop bombs and make the criminals realize they ARE under scrutiny, at least by the committee, and these hearings are being watched by DOJ. So, at the very least, the criminals then realize DOJ now has more tidbits to put conspiracy puzzle pieces together. I personally think DOJ has been doing this all along, a slow, tedious process working from the ground up as in many RICO cases. It is VERY unfortunate that some of the actions for justice that we eagerly anticipate likely won't happen in time for midterms.
But that's merely my opinion, just as anyone who replies to this saying DOJ ain't doing shit and won't has their own opinion.
No one knows. Mere speculation.
