My friend of close to 40 years is Dutch. She is 72.
As a little girl she lived under Nazi occupation in the Netherlands.
Her war time stories would curl your hair.
Her father and grandfather were killed.
Yesterday she went to her local post office.
In front, by the flag pole, she saw a woman holding a poster that showed Obama with a Hitler mustache.
The poster declared "Obama - Nazi - Socialist"
As she was exiting her car, a man parked next to her and got out holding a similar poster.
She said "Young man! I find that highly offensive. I've lived under Nazi occupation. Obama is no Nazi."
And he said ..."Have a nice day" and joined the woman holding the other poster.
She went in and did her business.
Then she drove down the street to the police station.
Told them what was happening and why she was offended by it.
They said they'd deal with it.
She drove back to the post office and parked.
In a few minutes the postmaster came out and told the poster holders to leave.
They did.
Now...maybe they had every right to demonstrate on federal property.
But just because you may have the right, doesn't make it "right".
I am so proud to be her friend.
She don't take no crap off NO body!
