....racist white supremacist redneck chicken farmers. Others were veterans of WWI who felt they could have won if they hadn't been "stabbed in the back" by Liberals in Berlin who they claimed buckled under and surrendered early and were to blame for the humiliating defeat and subsequent economic hardships. Forget the Worldwide Depression and Stock Market Crash of 29, to them it was all the fault of Liberal Policies and Jewish Bankers. These people lived in rural areas and didn't see the people starving in the cities during WWI. As a matter of fact, when Hitler was arrested for treason the judge happened to be a WWI vet and was sympathetic to him and gave him a lenient sentence.
This is why when Hitler took France it was a huge source of national pride to those veterans. He forced France to sign the surrender in the same railway car that was used when Germany signed their surrender in WWI. That railway car was taken as a trophy back to Berlin and put on display. When the Allies started bombing Berlin it was moved to a safe place hidden under trees and in the closing days of the war the SS torched it to prevent it from falling back into the hands of the French.
Nor did I cover Hitler's rise to ultimate power through the use of fear with a false flag arson attack on their equivalent of the Capital Building. The invasion of Poland was to free it's people form the communist terrorists in power who they claimed were responsible for the fire. It just happened to also give Hitler access to Poland's vast coal fields for his military industrial complex.
That whole "Never Forget" wasn't just about extermination. It was about recognizing the threat of a charismatic leader using fear of terrorism, racism, religion, militarism and patriotic nationalism to rise to absolute power where loyalty to the leader and his party is considered to be more important than loyalty to your fellow citizens.
