Timothy, Timothy, where on earth did you go?
Timothy, Timothy, God why don't I know?

Cannibalism themed song by the Buoys, 1971

Rupert Holmes, who wrote Escape (the Pina Colada song) wanted a song that would be banned, hence the cannibalism theme. The record company said that Timothy was a mule so it could be played on radio, but Holmes confirmed it was about cannibalism.

Musically, the song is very catchy and has great vocals and horn and string arrangements. It was a minor hit, especially with teenagers. We (kids) knew what it was about and loved the song.
