(8 posts)Stalin enabled Hitler as long as it seemed to suit his interests, and only realized his mistake when Hitler invaded the USSR and mortally threatened Stalin's own power.
Then Stalin joined in the patriotic war against fascism. The USA did the right thing in joining forces with him in that cause. But anyone who thought that Stalin could be trusted any further than this was totally wrong.
Trump's attack on the Constitution was a step too far for Cheney, like Hitler's step beyond the partition of Poland that he and Stalin had agreed upon. Cheney was fine with attacks on the constitutional rights of women, LGBTQ people, and voters of all races, sexual orientations, and religions. She may aid us in getting Republicans to see Trump for what he is. Beyond that, we can trust her to stick to her anti-democratic dispositions.
