67. I like the ad. It isn't just about Romney. It's about all the climate change denial

that is going on.

Here in California, we know climate change is a reality. Today we went for a walk and on one block we saw Prius after Prius parked in front of the houses. Two younger members of my family drive Priuses.

This ad is very effective. That, I believe, is why so many on DU are so upset by the ad. It speaks to the big changes that we all have to make -- in our attitudes, our expectations and our lifestyles. It's really scary.

And it's about time that Americans get scared of something real. Climate change is real. Not so sure about some of the other things we are scared of.

Fact is that while unemployment is still too high, it is slowly declining. We are slowly getting more jobs. Mitt won't improve the job numbers, not one bit. He has presented no new ideas for increasing the numbers of new jobs. Bush tried giving tax cuts to the rich. It increased the debt of the middle class but did not improve the economy. The last thing that the rich will do if they get tax cuts is to hire more middle class workers or compensate them better. That was shown during Bush's administration. The middle class just ended up in overwhelming debt. And Congress and President Bush changed bankruptcy law so as to make it more difficult for members of the middle class to declare bankruptcy. That is what Romney would bring to the American middle class -- debt and oppression.
