Public education benefited for decades from women who just really didn't need the money.

I'm thinking of Boomer's mothers like mine; back when a family could pretty much live on whatever a man made. They subsidized the system but those days are long gone and the curriculum is much different now.

No more teaching cursive writing, Music and the Arts ignored, on and on ...

But yeah, all that plays right into their hands.
