They think that once the shooting starts and innocent civilians and law enforcement start getting killed or wounded, commerce starts getting interrupted, the general public will rise up and depose the Govt.

Not a fucking chance, the people will turn on them so quick it'll make their heads spin, besides, the vast majority of Fed. SWAT teams are former/retired military with better weapons and will take down those that decide to be "heroes for the revolution" pretty quickly if they refuse to surrender.
