In reply to the discussion: A very carefully worded opinion on the car crash [View all]pinkstarburst

I am absolutely disgusted by what she did. Appalled. Disgusted to the nth degree. I do not want her to die. I am very sorry she is burned. But I am appalled. And I am further appalled by anyone like you who is seeking to poo poo her atrocious criminal reckless behavior simply because she is a beautiful white woman who has achieved fame.
I feel really bad for the woman living there, but it was not her house. It was a rental.
Why the AF would this matter? The woman living there NEARLY DIED because of her reckless criminal behavior where she was driving 100 mph in a residential neighborhood. She hit two houses. That poor woman nearly burned up in a fire if her neighbor hadn't gotten her out. And your response is "I feel bad... but it was not her house. It was a rental." You must have a real obsession with this actress, IMHO. I hope she sues the actress and takes her for millions.
I don't know why Heche backed up and left the scene after causing property damage with the vehicle.
Hmm... She was drunk or high and trying to flee the scene?
No pictures were taken of the garage, and this is likely a misdemeanor hit and run--if it was a hit and run at all. You have up to ten days to report accidents. The three elements of a hit and run are: not stopping, providing identification, or offering help. She obviously did stop, and no person was injured or otherwise involved in the accident. That leaves the requirement to provide identification--but, to whom? Did the people there, who were not part of the accident, have the right to impede her or threaten her over this?
Are you seriously making excuses for her? Are you seriously saying that she did not have an obligation to stop and remain at the scene after CRASHING HER CAR into someone's house?

I think the OP meant an earlier crash prior to the devastating, fiery crash into the house.

Gotta agree. What bothered me about the news was that I live on a corner property lol.

Yes, the number of excuses made for Heche's actions on that tragic day is amazing.
