9. I don't buy it

Trump is a pathological narcissist, yes. No question there. However, he's also a grifter, which means that he's learned that sometimes fleeing in the middle of the night is the absolute right step to take. Given the choice between him facing (a very short) life in prison or being free in Saudi Arabia, he's going to get out of dodge while he can.

Trump has the mindset of a mob boss (and was trained by one of the best).
