in Florida. We mostly have 60 - 70 year old, white, conservative Christians in our elected county offices. This year we have a refreshing option.....a 50ish, white, conservative, female Christian Republican. Well, at least it's a start, right? But the point is there are very few differences in any real policies or ideas. The main campaign smears are "He/she took some contributions from a "Democrat" group of some kind.

The only thing Republicans need to be in my area is "not a Democrat." So, yes, the Republican party will continue to exist in some form. Our best bet is to take advantage of who they are now and make what gains we can.
