However, one of the lesser known sports prognosticators happens to be the Alabama-LSU Rule. The rule states that if Alabama wins the matchup between the two rivals, a Democrat will win the race for the White House. If LSU wins, a Republican will win.

1988: LSU 19, Alabama 18. George H.W. Bush (R) defeats Michael Dukakis (D).

2000: LSU 30, Alabama 28. George W. Bush (R) defeats Al Gore (D).
