The security breach (potential) is a given, granted, and stomach turning. Do you have reason to believe that our security apparatus is acting on the assumption that breach has been exploited already? Are they scrambling to bring in assets as we speak in accordance with such a belief?

In fact - I do think there is probably a good bit of the 'hoping and praying' thing going on right now. Also bet there is some real sweat being expended right now to find out who and what might possibly ... But not necessarily assuming the worst has happened ... Do you know differently?
