(288 posts)Both of us have been vaccinated (all four injections). I have been exposed to some co-workers who became overtly ill the next day (so they were contagious when they entered my office) and I did not become infected.
Both of our daughters have been fully vaccinated (3 or 4 shots) and neither has been infected. In fact, one daughter cared for her covid-infected husband (also fully vaccinated) and did not get infected.
Similarly, my five younger siblings & their spouses (all vaccinated) have thus far been covid infection free. All of us have been tested by PCR &/or rapid antigen tests. I attribute this good fortune to good immunity and good infection-control practices.
I am looking forward to the release of the new bivalent covid vaccines in the coming weeks.
