So sooooooooooooo bad.
We had BNC - "The Black News Channel" but it didn't last long.
It was an absolutely brilliant station but it only lasted maybe 6 months at most.
It was fun while it lasted & Charles Blow is amazing! I'm posting a clip below of him & his show on BNC.
Right now we have absolutely nothing outside of maybe "Democracy Now" but that's only a single tv show and not a 24/7 news channel.
There's of course "The Young Turks" but again, not live 24/7 and is only on YouTube and Pluto. And YouTube is something we need to talk about & conquer. As it stands right now, almost all the ads shown during videos are literal right wing propaganda-- Prager U, Turning Points USA (Charlie Kirk's Nazi org), anti-Trans ads, the same one currently being aired on CNN no less, & other far right fash trash entities.
Last month streaming services had more viewers than TV.
That's the first time that has ever happened.
And young voters who are now our largest voting bloc are HUGE on streaming; from Twitch to YouTube to Discord to Sling.
We as a party need to completely take over the ad buys on steaming services immediately. We, The Dem Party, have the money to do so. The right does not because Rick Scott stole all their money.
Now I don't claim to be Einstein, but we have the ability to absolutely smoke and erase all right wing ad buys off the map on streaming services & reach out to young voters directly in doing so. I really want to see that happens because I'm sick & tired of seeing Dennis Prager's bullshit on my tv screen.
Anyways, here's Charles Blow during his show on the short lived BNC.
Get ready to scream "HELL YES!" as he blasts lies from the pro-life anti-abortion crowd.
We have all these progressive news anchors who are currently not hosting anything.
If I only had the money I'd start a new progressive news network because we're in dire need of one.
