17. I think there were multiple reasons...

He IS a Democrat and would be out there for the Dem candidate.

He loves campaigning and it shows.

He has genuine respect for Obama, Obama beat the Clinton juggernaut which took some doing, imo.

He dislikes Romney.

The actions by the Romney campaign, the utter stupidity of their decision to try and create a divide between Obama and Clinton by using what Clinton achieved to slam Obama, thinking it would create division between the two as well as division between supporters of Obama and those who supported Hillary during the Primaries. Fatal mistake, one of many, on the part of the Romney campaign, imo. This stupidity alone would have brought Clinton out in full throat support of President Obama were there no other reasons as well, again imo.
