13. Here's the difference between the United States of America and a banana republic:

We don't hang our villains, no matter how heinous and obvious their crimes are and no matter how righteously indignant we feel about their crimes, by their feet, in public squares along with their mistresses, after a mock trial, as a spectacle to appease the mobs.

In my country, proving them guilty beyond reasonable doubt in a court of law takes precedent over the very universal impulse to avenge the dead.

I am proud of my country for demanding this high standard, and I am proud of DOJ for their dedication in enforcing it.
