Most competent lawyers won't go near trump because 1. he won't listen to their advice, 2. he is untrustworthy in a one on one discussion and 3. he won't pay them.

At the very least, the lawyer should have known better, and yes, that lawyer is in ethical hot water. When you deal with MF45, you get soiled.
