FYI: The numbers in the House [View all]

With Charlie Crist's resignation, as of today the Democrats have a 219 - 211 advantage in the House.

That will change on September 13, when three new members will join:

Democrats Pat Ryan and Mary Peltola, who won special elections in NY-19 and AK-At Large.
Republican Joe Sempolinski, who won a special election in NY-23

So, as of September 13, Democrats will hold a 221 - 212 edge.

There are still 2 empty seats: Indiana's 2nd, where Jackie Walorski (R) died in a car accident, and Crist's district in Florida, FL-13.
