18. BBB decline wasn't from corporate takeover and raid.

Around 2019, they began a new strategy of developing house brands and contracting for their own styles of merchandise. Then came covid. Manufacturers couldn't supply the contracted merchandise.

So...

They tried to go back to traditional name brands but the makers of those were already contracted to WallyWorld and Target.

That brought them to where they are today: Fucked.
