Both sides can submit a list of candidates which she can consider, but there is likely to be no common names.

She will still apooint one, based on rules established by the court.

Basically, the person has to be impartial, not a convicted criminal, and meets whatever criteria she establishes for the specifics of this case.

Basically, she will have a pretty free hand. Unless there is something in the persons past the doj can object to, the choice would stand.
