14. The DOJ official who represented the government in the case said leaks are "bad"

I doubt DOJ would leak the information and in so doing embarrass their lead attorney, Jay Bratt, who is the Chief of the Counterintelligence and Export Control Section (CES) of the National Security Division of DOJ. At the hearing, Bratt had the following exchange with Cannon:

Cannon: Are you aware, Mr Bratt, of any [leaks ] to the media, relative to the contents of the seized records?

Bratt: Not on the part of anybody that I'm working with.... I see the same things in the press that other people do. It's bad. People are talking. If people on the government's side are talking about it, I'm not aware of anybody we work with that has had contact with the press and certainty don't condone it in any way."

I doubt it was the DOJ. They don't leak. Could be DNI. I would understand if they were pissed. emulatorloo Sep 2022 #2
