79. Unfortunately, it doesn't always stop EMTs from engaging in dangerous behavior.

A high school acquaintance, who is a retired first responder is still in South Dakota recovering from a Sturgis motorcycle rally accident. I'm not sure of his level of medical training, but yesterday's post by his wife indicated some medical training (he was bagging himself when they moved rooms yesterday and had to fit through a tight spot so his nurse couldn't stand close enough to do the job. Others commented about all of the experience he had).

And yes, more than a month later, he cannot breathe well enough on his own for a short trip from one room to another. Can't eat yet. Will probably never walk again. They are hoping he is stable enough by tomorrow that they can move him to his home state.
