In reply to the discussion: I haven't watched CNN since it supposedly became Fux Light [View all]Hortensis
(58,785 posts)6. That's been happening for some years though, and at that CNN's been
working to get its audiences to help keep economic conservatives in power for decades.
So when an anchor restates a guest's condemnation of some Republican action/inaction to make the viewer's takeaway impression be that both parties do it, is that just more of the old or an example of stepping it up? When their recap leaves out a critical fact so that "half a truth makes a great lie," is that old or new?
I think a useful way would be to evaluate new anchors and program stylings on their own. I haven't been watching and taking notes either. Professionals who study media bias no doubt are.
