(43,850 posts)80. Yes, it's problematic. But I use it to get all kinds of info.
I do have friends I connect with, but I also use it for referrals and info about services, medical groups (not scammy stuff; support and advice in dealing with some issues), Buy Nothing groups, music and film info, all my writer friends teaching and publication info, and as with Ian, to keep up with people in the midst of potential tragedies.
Its a pain these daysthe advertising is insane and the algorithms have to be adjusted a lot or I lose important people. But I havent found anything better.
