To my fellow "lefties" on DU..... [View all]

I voted for Obama today. I have been very unhappy with his choice of Arte Duncan and his policies on education. I am a teacher, and have been for nearly thirty years. This is anything but a minor issue to me.

I got so angry during the first debate when the President said that his policy on Social Security had a lot in common with Romney's, or words to that effect. I blew off steam by swearing not to vote for him.

I have been bitterly disappointed at other times, such as during the health care debate. I won't go into details about all of that. You know the drill, if you're a leftie.

I voted for Obama today. I'm from the left wing of the Democratic party. I appreciate many things he has done so far. And he is going to hear from me during his second term. Oh yes he is. I have a stake in his second term now.

Will you join with me and make sure he hears from us, after you have voted your conscience?
