Landsberg prison from Nov. 1923 to Dec. 1924. Hitler biographer John Toland writes that in prison, Hitler not only penned Mein Kampf, but converted the jailers and warden to the Nazi cause. As a result, prison rules were bent to benefit Hitler: his quarters were made more "luxuriant" and prison rules didn't apply to him so he could work on his book. Moreover, he left Landsberg more determined "to carry out his long-range goals" to become "a true Fuhrer."

If tfg landed in prison, it would be a Club Fed hotel-style room complete with his favorite food, a nice bed, an equipped office, telephone privileges 24-7. He would emerge as an even more martyred champion to his base.

For me the best "punishment" would be a lifetime ban on ever holding any public office again.
