(172,368 posts)not that FUCKING DEJOY should be gone but having to dig through the link to an online "digital" lifestyle/health site, one has to wade through decipher a lot of gobbledygook.
Basically there are a bunch of individual post offices that are temporarily closed and service is redirected to another post office and/or to a regional office - mostly due to damage from fires, flooding (like what happened in KY over the summer and there were many locations affected), damage from some vehicle crashing into a PO lobby, and damage from Hurricanes Fiona and Ian.
So out of the hundreds of words of hysteria in the articles - here is the USPS "disruption" page that is referenced - https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/residential/welcome.htm
(in the below list - many of the "notice" links are announcing resumption of service and I could only find a couple where there was an entry that service was "suspended until further notice" )
