The big issue regarding some post offices near me are the theft rings where participants managed to steal master keys for the USPS blue mailboxes (and postal "relay boxes" in some locations that contain overflow bags of mail for delivery), and target mail pieces with checks written for bills to use for "washing" (replacing the "Pay to the order of" line with someone's name and changing the amount to something ridiculous in the thousands of dollars). So if anything, some way to secure those boxes beyond just keeping stuff from being poured into them, is in order.

And yup - Nov. 4 coming up (although little did you realize that I blame you and progree for my jumping on the I-bond train, although I don't think either of you even mentioned it)...

But it was interesting that the rate was going to DROP from 9.62% down to about 6.5% and since "I" = "inflation adjusted", that means....
