2. 91.6% is only the equivalent of 2 runs?

I know almost nothing about baseball except that the team with the higher score is the winner. In my ignorance, I see 2 runs as a very small margin, that the other team could easily get 2 and tie the game or get 3 and win. Only 2 runs ahead means very close to me, but 91.6% means almost certain victory.
