(7,215 posts)94. I got into the voting conversation with a young salesman.
He said he felt like both parties are the same, and I said history tells us differently. It was not so long ago that my husband would have owned me and the kids, but even so black folks were killed for looking my way.
Together we vote, for a better future. He smiled and said he would. I said mine will be a Democratic straight ticket, no need to think about the party of racists and woman haters, we've been there and done that, and the future can be what we want it to be, but we need to VOTE for the people that closer aline to our ideals, instead of all or nothing.
