...because you didn't act quickly enough, you're doing it wrong.

Garland never would have needed to sink as low as Barr did to act faster and with more urgency.

But gosh, Garland will have a sterling reputation when he's kicked out by Trump or worse, and when the DoJ is turned into something worse than even Barr would have imagined.

If our dreams and hopes that the polls are all wrong are crushed in the next few days, this country is well and truly fucked. Even just Republican control of the House without the Senate will be more than enough to send this country into a death spiral.

At least Garland will have avoided even the slightest hint of looking "too political". Take what comfort you'll get from that.
