...and yet we now know that, yes, in fact these Republican propaganda polling outfits were flooding the airwaves with their Republican-biased results as a means of depressing the vote in order to get their side to win. We *know* this now, since we can compare all their terrible calls to what actually happened.

So, if they didn't think that negative polls about Democrats worked, why would they invest so much in producing them and getting them out there?

So, no, I don't buy that argument about how negative polls aren't depressing turnout.

And that's fine if you want to dismiss all polls; but then people should stop posting just the negative ones and crapping on the positive ones. There were certain posters that absolutely were doing that. And it did serve to depress voters -- not encourage them and not to enhance our GOTV efforts.
