(58,785 posts)42. I'm feeling shocked, even though this is expected result of RW extremism
and inadequate, or in this case unapplied, government controls.
As for these companies, IMO, every adult complicit in the abuse of these children, including coworkers who didn't report it to the proper authorities, should be liable for criminal charges. Eliminating "just following orders" excuses from liability at any level would empower employees to refuse to participate in illegal practices while decreasing the power of management to require it, thus forcing major changes in company cultures and practices.
This would be a major progressive advance whose societal time should have come a century ago.
