There is no “bottom“… Anyone can do whatever they want, and potentially get away with it because there is an argument, no matter how false, how trivial, how untrue, which when proffered, is an excuse. In the old days, the jury would deliberate for five minutes and come back with a guilty verdict, now, everyone thinks they’re in 12 Angry Men and this can exonerate anyone for the most specious of reasons.
