13. I'm not one bit surprised that TFG did not host the portrait unveiling for them.

And I'm actually kind of glad he didn't.

I'm not surprised he declined to do it, because he hates Obama's guts and also because the idea of being a gracious host while someone else gets to the center of attention is absolutely alien to him. As addicted to being the center of attention as he is, he wouldn't be able to tolerate it.

A bigger person would have hosted the unveiling, because it's a tradition and something presidents are expected to do for their predecessors, out of respect for the office itself if nothing else. But TFG doesn't care about those things, and he has no respect for, well, anything. Above all, like the spoiled toddler he is, TFG does not do things he doesn't want to do if he can possibly avoid it.

I'm sorry the Obamas had to wait so long, but under TFG the event wouldn't have been nearly as enjoyable or as joyous. I'm sure they're happy they got to do it under a president who didn't resent the whole thing, and especially happy that president was Joe Biden.
