The Uber rich, who can have anything they want, eventually can't find satisfaction in the gold, the glimmer, so they start feeding off dominating others. (The Saudi royal family is particularly known for this.)
Kanye is testing just how far he can go with his fans, and those that remain loyal to him, after these comments, will be his thralls forever.
That is the pathetic loneliness of wealth and power.
