And, he's in 4x those subway commercials.
Most of those shoots are done in the athlete's off-season so I have a hard time believing that appearing in a commercial affects their performance.
Finally, they put famous athletes in those ads because it adds revenue.
They're not going to have me do it, because who the heck would care what kind of sandwiches I like.
The get recruited because they're already famous!
