1. I'm afraid my Methodist Church is getting close.

Several years ago we got a new pastor. He was so harshly conservative from the pulpit that people left in droves. The church recovered a little during the interregnum. We've had a new pastor for a couple of years. He speaks so harshly liberally from the pulpit that people are leaving in droves.

As long as pastors stay away from immigration, abortion, LGBTQ issues, the church does well.
