The base WNBA salary is $130,000 for 12 teams while the base NBA salary is $1M. So your numbers there are way off.

So do you think every sports team or other profitable businesses must subsidize another money losing business? If the NBA started losing money it would stop financing the WNBA. It is a business operating to make money. Businesses give money to charity all the time, but the only reason the NBA is able to fund the WNBA is because it does make money.
