He figured out if assholes wanna give him a hundred bucks for nothing, it's easier to give this NFT company a cut to manage the details and have the remainder go into his pocket than to have to waste time self-dealing campaign money through renting space/time at his resorts/clubs and whatnot. He doesn't even to show up for the crowds with this new grift.
