When story about FTX fraud first broke, Rightwingers focused on donations he made to Dems. He made equally large donations to republicans. Dem office holders/PACs are giving the money to charity or setting it aside for potential retrieval for law enforcement.
But the $$ he gave GOP disappeared into a black hole. Other sources say that he gave enough $$ to GOP to be one of their very top donors

He wanted to insulate his company by ensuring that government regulation was light, and spent money liberally in a blatant effort to exert influence. Since the collapse of FTX, he has admitted that he purposely used secret money channels for gifts to Republicans and made the others public.

This interesting admission of "dark" Republican donations serves to illustrate the large and dangerous threat that undisclosed campaign money poses to our elections and politics.
