I worked with a woman in Virginia who had been exploited, groomed, and sexually assaulted and used when she went to her parish priest for...... ready for it?

Her husband abusing her.

This happened in the late 90s. She doubted she was the only one.

It is not new or atypical to have girls sexualized and groomed. But it was so scandalous when the victims were not heteronormative ie boys and young men. That was homosexual and unnatural.
