As if we need one. Obvious lying. He judges everyone by bigoted criteria, especially if he's accepting a gift, reading a book he received from them, and talking about it.

Can you imagine a Jew giving that as a gift *and* not mentioning their Judaism one way or another?

He knows the person is not Jewish and yes, he absolutely thinks claiming the gifter was Jewish inoculates him from an accusation of antisemitism.

Never mind that hitler's speeches are disturbing on more grounds than just antisemitism....


In truth, I'm Jewish and have read some of hitler's speeches. The problem is his response (refusing to denounce hitler, lying, distraction through bigotry) basically confirms that he read the book for content and as an instruction manual rather than as a cautionary tale.
