Interesting discussion, to be sure, but the Repigs' real base, in terms of voter numbers, is with people who have completely departed from anything remotely resembling reality. Those dingbats will double or triple down on the crazy. Look for Santorum to be strong until and unless Jebby decides to get in. And they will call him a RINO too. He'd meet the same fate as Mittens. Santorum wouldn't win fifteen states in a general election.
