Who came out on a televised award show in the 70’s to conduct the orchestra. He carried a stack of phone books out, put them down, climbed up, took out his conductor’s wand, then he turned to the audience and said “power!”.

Williams was joking. ReekCarthy is standing on his stack phone books, thinking he really does have power.
