(10,879 posts)Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn, I believe that there are good Americans in the Department of Justice who are determined to see this through.
Due to the unlevel playing field favoring the rich white men, they have to be extra careful and diligent. If they rush it and blow the case, how are we going to feel then?
I get the sense there is a methodical, careful approach that is being taken.
There was a recent article posted today about the heat the local police took for the grisly murders of four University of Idaho students. They took the heat and kept working the case. They got help from the State police labs and the FBI. They got DNA, made an arrest and look like they can nail the guy. Yet throughout the case, the public handwringing was like they were doing nothing.
Maybe we've been spoiled by all the police shows or movies that allow us to see them nail the culprits.
I still believe that there are counterparts like Goodman and Dunn in the DoJ - great Americans - going about the business of nailing these folks.
