(15,236 posts)22. I volunteer at an outdoor environmental center in N.J. We build boardwalks over streams and such.
When I started last year, some of the other volunteers didn't use hearing protection or glasses when sawing or drilling.
Now we all do.
I recited a safety slogan at the O.S.H.A. certification course I took. "If it looks stupid, it is."
